Kick-offs: Majority of kick-offs are 7.30pm & 8pm, few matches/maybe none at 6pm.
Match Duration: Pitches are booked for 90 minutes (actual playing time will vary depending on team's punctuality).
Match Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday nights (teams will play a maximum of one match per week).
Players: Teams can use up to 16 players for each match. 11 players and 5 subs (rolling subs) with unlimited player's registrations.

Referees: Qualified FA Referees officiate ALL matches (one referee & two assistants).

Season: Teams will play a minimum of seven and a maximum of 11 Cup matches.

Format: Three to five teams per group, two to four groups.
Teams play each other twice during group stages and once during Knock-out stages.
Top two teams in each group qualify to the Cup Knock-out stages.
Bottom two teams in each group qualify to the Plate Knock-out stages
Knock-out stages are Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals & Final.

League Teams: All our 11-a-side Midweek League teams are automatically entered to one cup competition (FREE entry fee).

We are ONLY recruiting friendly and sporting teams – we want to ensure that this Cup remains the MOST friendly & sporting ANYWHERE!

  • Fixtures/Results, Cup tables, Knock-out stages and team maintenance on our dynamic web site

  • FA qualified referees will be appointed for EVERY match. Clubs DO NOT have to contact/confirm with referees or pay them on the day – we do all of that for you!

  • Clubs ONLY need to report referee's marks & opponent's sportsmanship marks after the match using our web site! There are NO forms or result sheets to return!

  • Cups/Awards will be given to winners and runners-up each season. Unlike other competitions, you get to KEEP your awards from us…..forever!

  • NO dull, boring meetings to attend – just an end of season presentation night (where trophies and medals are awarded)!

  • London Football competitions are sanctioned by the Amateur Football Alliance (AFA).

  • ALL FIFA Laws of Association Football apply!


  • Pay the Cup fees and get your friendly and sporting players together!

  • Buy your kits (with numbers) BLACK KITS ARE NOT ALLOWED (FA Rules)!

  • Register your players (online)!

  • Enjoy your football in the MOST sporting Cup competition there is!!!


  • If you have any troublemakers in your team!

  • If you cannot control your players’ frustrations during a match!

  • If you are not used to abiding by simple, straightforward Rules!

  • If you are not well organised and do not know when your players are available which leads to you cancelling matches!

  • Then do not waste your time/money applying because London Football could eject you even after your first match!

  • Places are limited, so it will be strictly first-come, first-served!
